For the characteristics of steel are used terms: carbon, low-alloy, high-alloy steels.
Steel grades 20 and 20-PV are carbon,
steel grades 15ГС, 15KHM, 12KH1MF, 12KH1MF-PV, 15H1M1F, 12Х2МФСР are low-alloy,
steel grades 10Х9МФБ-sh, 12Х11В2МФ, 08Х16Н9М2, 12Х18Н12Т, 10Х13П2БС2Н2Д2 are high-alloyed (10Х9МФБ-sh and 12Х11В2МФ - martensitic chromium, 08Х16Н9М2 and 12Х18Н12Т -austenitic chromium-Nickel, 10Х13Г12БС2Н2Д2 - austenitic bromomalonate).
For the characterization tests are used to determine:
- mandatory testing - those tests which the manufacturer is obliged to comply without further guidance;
- additional tests - the tests that a manufacturer performs on the customer's request on the basis of the agreement between the purchaser and the manufacturer.
For characteristics of pipes uses the terms: deformed cold, warm, hot-formed, hot-pressed and hot-pressed reduced.
Hardness, HB, of the metal pipes of steel 20, 20-PV, 15ГС, 15KHM, 12KH1MF, 12KH1MF-PV, 15H1M1F, 12Х2МФСР, 08Х16Н9М2, 10Х13Г12БС2Н2Д2 is not specified, but is measured and recorded in the document about the quality of the pipes.
Standards hardness of the pipes of the steels will be determined after the statistical processing of data obtained at 50 trunks each steel and each technological production version of the pipe, and then in due course be made to those specifications.
At the customer's request pipes are supplied with the definition of impact strength at room temperature on samples with concentrators of type V (KCV) and at low temperatures from 0 to minus 60°C on samples with concentrators of type V (KCV) or type U (KCU). The values of impact strength are not standardized, but are recorded in the document about the quality of the pipes.
Pipes must withstand one or more technological tests:
- diameter up to 60 test bend around a mandrel or on the distribution;
- diameter of 60 to 108 mm - test on the distribution or flattening;
- diameter from 108 to 273 mm - flattening test or bend of the strip;
- with a diameter of 273 mm with wall thickness up to 25 mm - with bend strip.
Tubes with external diameter up to 60 mm shall withstand a bend test around a mandrel to angle of 90°.
Pipes with outside diameter from 108 to 273 mm, with any wall thickness and 273 mm and over with wall thickness up to 25 mm shall withstand a bend test of strip around the mandrel to angle of 90°.
Tubes with external diameter up to 108 mm with a wall thickness of not more than 9.0 mm and must withstand the test of the distribution.
Expansion testing is carried out with a mandrel with the taper angle 30° to increase the outer diameter of the pipe the value of "X" in the % specified in the table .

Pipe with an outer diameter from 60 to 273 mm with a wall thickness of not more than 15% of
the outer diameter must withstand the test of flattening to obtain a between
